FAUN – DREI TAGE<\/p>\n

‘Drei Tage’ is a ballad that tells of the twelve magical nights around winter solstice\u2014and of the wonderful time of the so called ‘Rauhn\u00e4chte’.<\/p>\n

Laura Fella’s words describe an inner journey – with the help of pagan and winter images. Accompanied by Irish lute, percussion, and above all the musical dialogue of the hurdy-gurdy and Greek lyre, this journey gets retold musically in a virtuoso and impressive way.<\/p>\n

We hope the song takes you on an inner journey too and lets you feel the magic of this time of year!<\/p>\n

On September 5th we will release our new album \u201eHex\u201c – our 12th studio album, deeply inspired by female healers, wise women and witches – diving into the world of witchcraft.<\/p>\n

Oliver states: \u201eThe album title \u201cHex\u201d is derived from \u201cHexe\u201d – German for witch – and captures the topic far away from the clich\u00e9 of an evil fairytale witch, far more we want to highlight the various aspects of female magic in different cultures and the legitimate question why we still fear the evil witches, instead of the people who burned them.
\nWe\u2019re extremely proud of the result and the answers we came up with – and truly: we cannot wait to share \u201eHEX\u201c with you!\u201c<\/p>\n

FAUN ‘Lament’ – OUT NOW<\/div>\n

We are proud to finally present our new song \u201eLament\u201c to you! This song means a lot to us – read all about it down below!<\/p>\n

\u201cLament\u201d has its origins in an old pre-Christian mourning song from the north of England. We have extended this song by a few verses and turned it into an emotional dirge with choirs, drums and old instruments.
\nIn the Celtic pagan religion, there is no threatening division into heaven and hell like in Christianity.
\nThe border to \u201cAnnwn\u201d, the celtic otherworld, is also less definitive.
\nSome people manage to travel back and forth between the worlds and at Halloween (Samhain), for example, this border is thiner.
\nSometimes \u201cAnnwn\u201d is described as an island in a sea full of fog, an idea that FAUN have taken up in their lyrics.
\nWe decided to dedicate this song to our dear friend and sound engineer, J\u00fcrgen Schneider, who tragically passed away in 2023, after more than 10 years of traveling and concerts together – thank you for everything, dear friend.<\/p>\n

We just released our new song & video<\/a> “UMAY” together with the great turkish singer “Fatma Turgut”. \u201eUMAY\u201c is the name of an ancient fertility goddess. <\/span><\/p>\n

The earliest mention of this goddess appears in the 8th century in the Orkhon inscriptions. These are texts in ancient Turkic runes on a large rune stone in Mongolia.
\nWith this song we want to take you back into the world of Tengriism, the ancient animistic religion of the Turkic peoples and Mongols from Central Asia.
\nSo we really hope that you like this musical journey!<\/p>\n

We are very proud to present you our new song “Neun Welten”.<\/p>\n

“Neun Welten” is a very special, significant song for us, as it stands, in addition to the motif of the “Nine Worlds” in Norse mythology, above all for a tremendous journey, which must be covered in the course of a catharsis.<\/p>\n

In this case, it leads back to oneself, one’s own roots – the “pure heart”.<\/p>\n
